Wash and be merry – Lush Glogg Shower Gel review

Wash and be merry – Lush Glogg Shower Gel review

My journey with Lush shower gels ended several years ago when I stopped going there on a regular basis. Recently I discovered Grass Shower Gel which I reviewed a few weeks ago and fell in love with it. I was really impressed with the Grass shower gel for it’s consistency and the way it lathers so upon smelling Glögg I knew it was coming home with me. The concept for this amber coloured nectar is inspired by Swedish mulled wine and I love shower gels that smell like food.

Before I bought it, I had read a few reviews of Glögg that ranged from ‘It stinks’ to ‘Why would I want to smell like alcohol’ to ‘OMG this is great’. If you don’t like strong smelling shower gels then this won’t be for you. This contains red wine, brandy, orange juice, and a cinnamon stick and clove infusion…and no you can’t drink it. It smells like Christmas should – spicy, warm, boozy, and fruity all at the same time whilst being comforting, cosy, and making you feel like you’ve been wrapped up a in blanket while it’s snowing outside. I can always tell when Jamie has used it because it makes the entire house smell fragrant. You can also use this on your hair but I’ve only used it as a shower gel.

This is going to be one of those shower gels I’m going to curse Lush for because no doubt it when it goes away at Christmas or whenever they get rid of the holiday stuff I will still be wanting it. I’m going to turn into one of those crazy Lushies on Live Journal who pine for things like Snow Fairy and hoard it. I guess I will have to find out when I should start stockpiling Glögg so that I’m not disappointed for the rest of the winter months. This is £7.75 for 250g and £3.90 for 100g.
