The language of beauty

The language of beauty

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to meet up with French beauty blogger Pinkty of Pink Beauty Berry. We had been talking for several months and the opportunity to meet presented itself as she was coming to London with Mr. Pinkty for a holiday. Jamie and I took the train to London for the day and what could have been a bit of an awkward meeting was anything but. We kissed our hellos and then found a quiet Thai restaurant for lunch. It was like having a meal with old friends, the conversation and laughter seemed effortless. When we finished our meal we popped over to the flat they had rented and sat out of the terrace to enjoy the sunshine.

We chatted about France, the UK and the US and then then the boys started talking geek, so Pinkty and I went inside and she showed me all the British beauty goodies she had purchased. We also exchanged some beauty stuffs which I shall be reviewing in the near future. When the boys joined us again, Mr. Pinkty made a comment that he finds beauty bits all over their flat; little bottles and bags of makeup and Jamie nodded in agreement. Pinkty and I then pointed out it was both their faults for suggesting we start our blogs. I don’t know if Jamie found comfort in the fact that his French counterpart also created a beauty monster but I thought it was cute!

As we said our goodbyes it dawned on me that I would have never met such a lovely couple any other way. It can be difficult at the best of times to meet new people once you’ve established your circle of friends but because of our passion for body lotion, nail polish and cute lip balm Pinkty and I instantly bonded. Being a part of the beauty blogging community has allowed me to meet new people online/offline from all over the world, and pardon me for sounding a bit cheesy but I think that is truly amazing!

Hey Katie – The world is a lot smaller when you get to meet so many different people isn’t it?
