Skincare addicts in Paris – where should they go?

by on October 1, 2017 · 7 comments

Today’s post comes from a lovely French beauty blogger named Pinkty. Her blog Pink Beauty Berry features French and English brands and cute little rants about French products that aren’t available in France – so over to you mon expert petite beauté!

A little while ago, asked me if I would like to write a guest post on her blog. I haven’t hesitated one second and then I thought: “I’ve never written a guest post, what am I going to talk about ?”

I have myself a beauty blog PinkBeautyBerry.com and I didn’t want to talk about something I have already talked. And then I decided I would write a post on places where every beauty addicts should visit in Paris, as I am French and live in Paris. There are loads of places which sell body care, skincare, make-up, … But I am going to list the main ones and tell you what I think about them.

Sephora on Champs Elysées

If there is a place where every beauty addict should go, this is the only one ! This is a huge Sephora !! Open until midnight, everyday (even Sunday where almost nothing is open in France).

This is a place, well a temple for make-up, perfume. They have a wide range and they are getting better and better on skincare and bodycare but they are still at the end of the shop which is a bit sad ! They have quite a wide range: Dior, Lancôme, Biotherm,.. I am not going to list them all.

For the ones who love make-up (I do), there is a MAC and Make Up Forever corner and many more. But the only down thing is that this store is most of the time crowded especially on Sundays and Saturday evening.

Before I tell you about the other store: In Paris, you will never find Guerlain brand in Sephora, they have their own stores (there are quite a few) so they don’t sell in Sephora at all.

Guerlain on Champs Elysées

If you want to have a look at a beautiful store, there is one place to go: Guerlain store next to the Sephora. This shop is just amazing, just a beautiful deco, very posh and golden stuff everywhere… The entrance is so pretty, very old style !

There are quite a few other stores in Paris but this one is the flagship store. At the moment, there is a pop-up store, I don’t know how long it will stay but it is still worth a look.

Les Grands Magasins: le Printemps and les Galeries Lafayette: Havre Caumartin subway station

These two mega stores are a few meters apart and they are about the same as John Lewis or Selfridges.

First, le Printemps has two floors of make-up, perfumes and skincare. On the ground floor, you will find the main brands with corners. On the second floor, you will have more independent brands (mostly products from Spa brands, for you you can find 5 Mondes Spa products).

Les Galeries Lafayette sells about the same thing but you have to go inside to see the places, this is huge and beautiful especially for Xmas with the huge huge Xmas tree (I still don’t know how they get it inside !!).

L’Occitane: everywhere in Paris

I remember when I used to live in London, everyone was crazy about this shop so I am going to talk about it. You can find them everywhere in Paris so I won’t give you an address so walk around and you will find one. They all look the same and sell the same products.

I quite like the brand, with all the natural products: lavender, honey, cherry blossom, … They have a quite wide range but every type of skin. I love their hand cream and now they have a make-up range.

CityPharma 26, rue du Four Mabillon subway station

This shop is not really a good looking store at all. Actually it is a pharmacy but they sell parapharmacy brands as Nuxe, Caudalie,… cheaper than anywhere else in Paris.

When you arrive don’t be afraid, it is packed all the time, cheap prices attract everyone !! But you will find nice products for some € less!

Sadly, if I had to list every shop I know it would never end, but I would be pleased to give you advice if needed. Just send me an email, you will find the address on my blog.

I hope you enjoyed this little tour around Paris!

Xoxo
