Good Things Skincare
This is available exclusively at Boots!
Like all beauty aficionados I always get excited about a new skincare range. Good Things was created by beauty editor Alice Hart-Davis who is also the author of Be Beautiful: every girl’s guide to hair, skin and make-up. This new range is clearly made for ‘younger’ skins but why should they have all the fun? It’s made with super ingredients like blueberry, papaya leaf, raspberry, and lychee. I wanted to try this because it has the kawaii factor and it’s full of all the berry goodness I love.
Stay Clear Purifying Cleanser with Mango & Blueberry – This gel cleanser works really well on greasy complexions like mine. I love using this in the morning as it makes my skin feel squeaky clean and refreshed but doesn’t strip my skin. I absolutely adore the way this cleanser smells, Jamie says it makes my face smell like Ribena which I take as a compliment. This is free from Parabens, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Animal ingredients and mineral oils.
Bright Eyes Anti Puffiness & Dark Circles with Raspberry and Lychee – Even though I’m not doing the whole anti-ageing thing, I still need some kind of eye cream as puffiness and dark circles can ruin the most fresh faced look. I like this eye cream as it isn’t greasy or slick like a serum and sinks in quickly. The narrow applicator ensures you get the tiny amount needed for your eye area.
Whether this range will benefit my ‘older’ skin in the long term remains to be seen but I really like using these products. I love the website and how it explains what each ingredient does. I do want to try more stuff from the range like the daily moisturiser and the facial wipes. I’m also hoping that Good Things branches out into bath and body as I’m sure they could come up with some good shower gels and body lotions. I don’t care if this skincare range isn’t aimed at me I love it!
