Dead Sea Spa Magik Black Mud Soap 100g
This is available at Holland and Barrett!
Face soap has gotten a bad rap over the years. Somewhere in the 80′s cosmetics companies decided that our Clinique Facial Soap or that good old bar of Dove wasn’t good enough to clean our complexions. Of course using soap isn’t without it’s problems. If you don’t have a really good ridged soap dish that aerates the bottom of your bar of soap then it will melt and get mucky. Soap also doesn’t travel very well for the same reasons. However all is not lost!
This lovely little inexpensive bar of soap is perfect for my super oily summertime skin. I use mine in the evening and it takes the day off without stripping my skin. Afterwards my face feels nice and squeaky clean. This contains Pure Dead Sea Mud but isn’t artificially coloured so the lather is white as you can see here. (Those aren’t my hands by the way and I don’t think my sink will ever get that clean no matter how hard I scrub it!)
This super soap also has an allergen free fragrance. You’ve probably realised by now that even when cosmetics say they are ‘fragrance free’ they do actually use a neutral fragrance to cover up the ingredients as even natural ingredients don’t smell very nice. The scent to me is similar to a stone or as Jamie put it a cinder block. So if you have problem or sensitive skin and don’t mind products that smell like aggregate then this is perfect facial bar for you. One of the other great features of this soap is that it doesn’t melt like most other’s do. I’ve been keeping mine on a piece of wrapper as I keep forgetting to buy a proper soap dish and it has stayed solid. Please check out my other reviews for Dead Sea Spa Magik Mud Mask and Dead Sea Spa Magik Mild Exfoliant. I love Dead Sea Spa Magik products because they are high quality, do what they say, and don’t cost the earth.
