I can’t believe it’s been two months since I did a proper body scrub review so I shall remedy that today. So my beauty peeps, let’s talk about Tree Hut! I bought these at Ulta in Ohio during the wedding trip and let me tell you, Tree Hut body scrubs are the closest thing to perfection I’ve come across in a long time. Everything is about them is right so let’s break this down…

Price & Size – These bad boys are a generous 510g and retail at $7.49 which approximately £5 for these glorious tubs of scrub heaven! And let’s talk about the tubs for a minute, they are a pliable yet sturdy plastic that if dropped won’t shatter. Trust me I’ve dropped them in bath to test this. They also have a convenient screw top lid so no leakage and besides the scrub is so thick anyway that there is no chance of it going anywhere.

Scent & Consistency – Well both of these scrubs (Coconut Lime & Hawaii Kukui) smell like gorgeous tropical drinks and although the scent doesn’t last, Tree Hut now have matching shower gels and body butters so you can scent layer for maximum effect. The sugar scrub is suspended in a glycerin base which means you can get fabulous friction on dry skin. The sugar mixture is rough as and takes off all those dry layers with great efficiency.

I’ve had no end of pleasure scrubbing my legs, bum and upper arms with these and listening to that glorious sound of the beautiful sugar mixture scraping across my skin. The scrubs rinse well although you may have to go over your nooks and crannies to make sure it all comes off. There is slight sheen of oil left on your skin afterwards so extra moisturisation is optional.

Final thoughts….

This is the kind of product that makes me fall in love with blogging all over again. Tree Hut have nailed it on the head with an affordable, fantastic scrub that makes me feel like skipping through a meadow with birds and butterflies – it’s that good. And now that I’m going back to the homeland for a few weeks end of May, I shall be loading up on more scrub, shower gel, and body butter from this range.

Tree Hut I love you!
