Right now you could say I’m in absolute bliss; blogging whilst sitting on the porch in Tennessee, iced tea by my side and sniffing/testing the summer Haus of Gloi goodies. The only thing that would make this afternoon perfect would be a foot massage from Christian Bale but you can’t have everything!
I ordered from the Haus before I left the UK and had it delivered here so I can lug it back with me. I’ve never ordered HoG summer scents but I’m glad I took the plunge:
The Brier Path scrub & body butter – Now this scent is a total departure from what I’d usually go for as it’s more floral and musky rather than the foodie scents I normally purchase. My first impressions are that it’s something I’ll have to get used to as it smells a bit girly.
Beguiled scrub & body butter – This is more like it – lemon cake with buttermilk and raspberry entwined with cardamon and pink peppercorns. This smells like a posh cake that you find at a summer garden party.
Sanctum body butter – I can’t believe how gorgeous this is – melon mixed with kaffir lime and coconut water. It reminds me of the cucumber/melon scent that Bath & Body Works had when they first started out. I wish now I would have also bought the scrub but it wasn’t available on the website so I’ll have to live without it….
Elevenses scrub – This is not part of the summer range and can be bought all year round. I’ve got the perfume oil and decided I need the scrub too and now I’ve decided I need the body butter but that will have to wait till the Autumn. This smells heavily of tea, almonds and sugar which you wouldn’t think would make a great combination but it does.
Right back to sitting on the porch enjoying the sunshine and iced tea!
