Quick Review – Boots Henna & Horse Chestnut Intensive Hair Mask
I found this lingering on of the bottom shelves of the hair care section at Boots, looking alone and unloved. I’ve used Boots brand stuff on and off for years and their hair products all have the same smell. Almost too perfumey but not enough to make me hate it.
This has a lovely creamy texture and lasts for ages. I’ve had this nearly 2 months and I still have some left and I use it at least twice a week. What I really like about this is that it doesn’t leave my hair greasy just nice and soft. I only apply it to the bottom 1/3 of my hair though because it’s so thick and it’s my ends that need the most help. I keep it on for about 2-3 minutes when I’m having a scrub and then rinse it out. Even though I have fine hair and it doesn’t weigh it down the way other intensive conditioners do. Although this says it contains henna, it didn’t interfere with my own colour treated hair.
You can’t go wrong if you are looking for something cheap and cheerful for your hair. The packaging is basic and it doesn’t smack of luxury but at around £2 it’s bargain considering how long it lasts.
Anyone else try Boots brand hair products?
