One month to go – wedding update
Well in a month’s time Jamie and I will be exchanging vows. Where does the time go, if feels like only yesterday he asked me to marry him. I tell a lie – the time has gone as normal I’ve just been procrastinating! But Jamie has his suit, we’ve booked an old double decker Route Master bus to take us to the registry office and back to the reception and the evening invitations will go out this week. We still have to decide on the music for both weddings and do a few other odds and ends but we are nearly there.
My dress is still a work in progress. I bought some fabulous fabric at an Asian shop in Leicester called Arinder Bhullar. It’s a really friendly family run business and even ‘Dad’ came out to show us all the green fabrics. He pushed all the manequins out of the way so my friend could drape different fabrics around me and Lauren started tearing up. We are going to need some serious waterproof mascara on the day or else I’m going to end up looking like Marilyn Manson! I’ve got another fitting with a ‘dummy’ dress on Friday just to make sure we have the style right before we cut up the actual dress fabric.
I keep having strange dreams about the wedding; we forget to get married but have the reception anyway, my friend forgets to make the dress and last night I dreamt that our wedding service was in Polish and I didn’t understand how to say my vows! I’m sure it will all be alright in the end.
