May empties – tales from a hotel room –
I’d like to think I’m a dedicated beauty blogger even though I can’t post as often as I like – I always try my best. This evening my dedication astounds even me as I sit here my hotel room blogging about my empties for the month of May. I didn’t have time to blog or take photos before we left Nottingham so I brought my empties with me. As Jamie observed while we were packing the car, ‘We’re taking rubbish with us to the hotel’. Whatever Jamie!
So here we go left to right starting from the top –
Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrubs – Awesome totally awesome as Jeff Spicoli once said in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. I shall be buying more from this range.
Kit + Sensory Lab Coffee Scrub – This killed me to use the last bit as it’s limited edition scrub all the way from Australia that Madam M sent me in a beauty exchange.
Bath & Body Works Coconut Lime Breeze Supercharged Body Scrub – I said in my review that there is nothing ‘supercharged’ about this but it was nice none the less.
Kleenex Facial Cloths – These were a total disappointment so I ended up using them to blow my nose, cleaning spilled coffee on my desk, and washing the windows!
Aveeno Ultra-Calming moisturiser SPF 30 – My cousin Lela recommended this as I forgot moisturiser when I went to the US last year so this has lasted 8 months which is pretty impressive. I don’t think they sell this in the UK – I haven’t seen it in shops or online. I will purchase this again as it keeps my face from betting blotchy.
Le Petit Marseillais Shea Body Oil – This was a lovely product although I would try a different one next time. Body oils are fast becoming my new favourite way to moisturise!
Noble Isle Willow Song shower gel (sample size) – This smells like a summer day and I’m looking forward to trying more from this new brand. Jamie will be reviewing a hand wash and lotion later on this week.
Aruba Aloe Shower Gel – I got this in Aruba funnily enough and it was okay but nothing special. I also got the body & hand lotion which is great for hot weather as it absorbs quickly and I’ll be doing a review at some point this summer.
Molton Brown Anti-Dandruff Jackberry Shampoo – Jamie swears by this, he doesn’t have full on dandruff but suffers from a dry itchy scalp. He doesn’t use anything else on his hair so we buy this on a regular basis.
Bath & Body Works Warm Apple Harvest – Lovely little shower gel I got last year which is always part of B&BW Autumn range.
Euthymol Toothpaste – This is definitely a ‘Marmite’ type of product and I love it. You can read my full review from two years if you want to know more….
Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment – I thought this was a bit strange at first, probably because I wasn’t using it properly but it did do something nice to my hair. I would have to measure my hair to see if it made a difference to the length though.
Imperial Leather Citrus Burst Hand Wash – Jamie brought this home one day, pretty basic nothing special.
Crabtree & Evelyn Aloe Vera Body Lotion – C&E body lotions are great for the summer as they are quite thin and absorb quickly but if you have really dry skin this probably wouldn’t work.
Aussie Aussome Volume Conditioner – I bought this by mistake but it turned out to be okay for my fine hair and doesn’t weigh it down. I would by this again.
Pacifica Hawaiian Ruby Guava Body Lotion – I’ve lamented on the blog before about how Pacifica products are hard to find in the UK so finishing this up can only mean one thing – buying more!
Kyoku for Men Sake Infused Shave Cream – We love Kyoku products in the COPD house, they have a unique fresh smell and work on male or female skin.
Well if you’ve made it to the end of the list I’m impressed. I’ve been clever with my holiday packing this time and I’ve brought things that are nearly empty with me so I should have a little pile of empties before I come back – in theory anyway….
What goodies have you enjoyed this month?
