Jamie has been getting after me lately as I’ve got beauty bits strewn from one end of the house to the other and he said that I probably don’t even know what, or how much stuff I have. I’ve told him in the past that I do know what I’ve got but hand on heart if I don’t see it in front of me everyday I will forget. I’m sure I’m not the only one like this right right???!!

I had a little Spring clean this weekend and I went through my beauty cupboard (box thing on wheels) and I discovered this Clinique Even Better skin tone correcting moisturiser with SPF 20. I think I bought this some time last year, used a few times and then well who knows what happened? It promises an even skin tone in 4-6 weeks so I’m going to start using it again pronto. Better not tell Jamie how I much I paid for it.

I also discovered I have more nail varnishes than I thought. Admittedly a few of them have been recent purchases or gifts, but I forgot I had a really good gun metal colour from Collection 2000 and a lovely deep sparkly burgundy from Bourjois.

So what is the solution – have all your goodies tucked away in neatly stacked boxes or just get a fruit bowl and toss everything in it and leave it on your dresser. What does everyone else do to avoid forgetting about good (and expensive) beauty stuffs?

I keep a little caddy on my desk/vanity that I swap out every month or two. I find it helps to rotate through things and it reminds me of what I have, which cuts waaaay down on my spending.

I’d love to say I dont forget about stuff but I do. I try keep it all in the bathroom cabinet but Im running out of space, and even then theres only so many cleansers/mousturisers you can use at once.

I am a great lover of all things new and like a magpie, every week I want something new and my previous best thing gets relegated, initially off of the top of my dresser and into a spare make up bag, then out of make up bag loose in drawer and then finally when I have a big blitz out of drawer and into bin bag!

I must be an odd one I love to use things up! My exception is nail polish, I have far more than needed!! I am curious about this product though and if it lives up to it’s claims!

@Tamara – that sounds like a really good idea to rotate things. I do that with my lips balms as I have so many otherwise they will never ever get used.
@Sultry Red – I know that is why I’m on a spending ban because the bathroom is too small to hold anything else!
@Debbie – Yes my things seem to migrate around the house too hence Jamie getting after me.
@Ayshe – I will be doing a reveiw on this cream in the next month or so, I have to say so far it’s okay and I have no idea why I stopped using it.

Thanks for your comments ladies, I bought a storage box at lunchtime today to house all of my makeup so hopefully that should help!

Hello there! I just came across your blog (which I love by the way!). I was in search for a picture of this Clinique product for an upcoming post on my blog, and was wondering if I may have your permission to use your picture please? All credits will go to you, of course. Please let me know by leaving a comment on my blog so I know! lol Thanks so much in advance :)
