Hawaiian Heaven – Pacifica Waikiki Pikake Perfume

Hawaiian Heaven – Pacifica Waikiki Pikake Perfume

by on June 10, 2017 · 6 comments

I was offered this perfume by the beautiful Nicoletta from Nicoletta’s Beauty Space as she read how much I love Pacifica products after she reviewed this on her blog. I discovered Pacifica last year at Sephora when I was in Hawaii and I only bought a gift set not thinking that it would make more sense to fill up a suitcase full of the stuff.

As Nicoletta has already done a thorough review, I won’t repeat what she’s said but add just a few of my own thoughts. This reminds me of a fragrance that Avon used to sell called ‘Hawaiian White Ginger’. I distinctly remember it being one of first perfumes I was allowed to have when we lived in Colorado in the seventies. Waikiki Pikake isn’t a heavy burdensome perfume but a light fresh floral scent without being sickly sweet and I love that it lasts all day.

I’ve also got two solid perfumes by Pacifica that I bought at Sephora but I haven’t used them much as I really don’t know how. I know that sounds a bit silly but I never know where they should be applied. I’ve used them on my pulse points and my behind my ear but the scent doesn’t seem to last as long as spray perfume. But maybe I’m doing it wrong? If anyone has any sage words of advice for using solid perfumes I would love to hear them!

Pacifica sell perfumes in spray, solid, and roll-on form. They also do shower gels, body butters, soaps, soy candles, and gift sets. There are too many scents to mention and my head explodes every time I look at the website because their full range isn’t available here in the UK, but Himalaya sell some of their products and I’ve been told they are due to get more. All of Pacifica’s products are cruelty free, paraben free and 100% Vegan too!

I have no tips, I would think with the solid perfume would just be applied to pulse points, but as you said you’ve tried that so I have no idea. I’ve actually wanted to try the solid ones!

@VM – Maybe there is a knack to applying it and maybe solid perfumes just don’t smell as strong. They come lovely little tins though so it’s difficult not to be attracted to them. Thanks for stopping by hun. x

You have been to Hawaii? I’m so jealous :)
Thanks for the great review, I’m always trying to find a nice cruelty free perfume, maybe I’ll check this out! x

@TNB – Erm I have been to Hawaii – 3 times! My parents have a time share there, I’m a lucky girl! On another note I hope someone stocks the full range of Pacifica soon!

Hi hun, i do love the solid perfumes but like you find that they dont appear very strong. The best way i find to use them is to warm them up a bit first so they are easier to apply and you get more on. I pop the little pots on the radiator for a couple of mins then spread a bit on my wrists, neck and thats about it. I love them for travelling as they are so much easier xx

Aww thanks that is helpful, heating them up does make sense otherwise it’s like trying to apply lip balm to your wrists. I never thought about travelling with them but you’re right, no worrying about glass bottles breaking! You rock Nicoletta! xoxo
