Happy Haus of Gloi Halloween

by on October 31, 2017 · 15 comments

I’ve done my best to resist but now thanks to you all you lovely beauty bloggers who kept telling me about the Haus – I have a new addiction. The scrubs are amazing but it’s the pumpkin butters and the scent descriptions that really get me fired up into a COPD frenzy which makes me rock back and forth in the corner like I’m in the Nut Haus! See what I did there? Anyway here’s what I’ve been treating my body to:

Samhain Soft Bubbling Scrub – Freshly turned earth, wet leaves, and a cool spectre ridden wind.

Now some people might think this doesn’t look very appealing, but to me it looks like a beautiful tub of volcanic ash or asphalt (you already knew that I’m strange). Do you see why I bought it? Just from the description alone I knew it was going to be special. This has a peppery dirt type of smell which makes a change from the usual sweet or floral scrub scents.

Pumpkin Queen Soft Bubbling Scrub – Gentle hay pillows, pumpkin, ripe peaches dusted with clove and nutmeg, dried summer herbs, and lastly, a lovely crown of amber.

This is the sample size which is a great idea. Scent is such a personal thing and you can never be sure about what you are getting when ordering over the interweb. This reminds me of buttery puff pastry or pumpkin pie crust – this is a good thing!

Ghost Puffs Pumpkin Butter – Buttery popcorn and marshmallow goo orbs, presented on a wooden stick.

This is another sample size which is also a good for handbags and desks at work. And yes it does make you smell like marshmallow buttery popcorn. Now how do I stop from eating myself?

Saft Ernte Soft Bubbling Scrub – A merry drink of harvest and glowing with warmth: Peach juice simmering with sweet spices, pumpkin, silken hazelnut cream and made completely curious with a drop of orange blossom water.

The best way to use the scrubs is palm a bit in your hand and smooth over wet skin. It stops you from wasting loads in one go as it melts as you scrub yourself in oblivion.

Old Cider Haus – Old oak, sweet drying hay fields, crushed apple pulp and vanilla husks.

This has got to be one of the best body butters I’ve ever used. Everything about it is perfect: the scent, the texture and the packaging. I’m using this sparingly and I will cry when I finish it.

No HoG don’t sell cats, this is Jelly the neighbours cat. Every time I’m outside taking pictures she pops up out of nowhere and gets in my way – but I love anyway.

What’s your favourite picks from the Haus?

No I have still not tried HoG yet, and I remember the hoohaa a year ago. I think I have a slight problem with the craftsy packaging ( gah all my makeup snobbery is coming out tonight!) and I fear that it will just smell of hay or at a pinch chamomile. Thanks for your review though and some fab pics x

I hear you Jan, I get snobby about beauty packaging too, I’ve avoided entire ranges because of it and there is no logical reason. I’m happy to smell of hay and chamomile on your behalf!
